This Craftsman inspired kitchen island incorporates a heavy lift device for a Kitchenaid mixer which is permanently housed in the island. The two lower adjustable shelves can be used for storage, or in this case wine bottles which rest on removable wine racks. The overhang on the non-working side of the island provides a seating area with a hand forged iron footrest for extra comfortable seating. This island is made from quartersawn, or ‘ribbon’ African mahogany.
